One of my friends had the Kentucky Derby on her bucket list and she is there this weekend! ππAnd I love lemon anything! Iβm defo making that lemon lavender syrup - I have both growing in my yard. Are you in Palm Springs area??? My cousin lives in Indian Wells!
That's so cool. On my bucket list too. I really need to make that happen. The syrup is delicious and helps bring the strength of the whiskey to a tolerable level if you find it a little strong! I live around the corner, across the street from the Tennis Gardens. Next door to Indian Wells!
When we lived in Kuwait, the barista who worked in our community, loved mixing up new coffee drinks. One morning at breakfast, I accidentally watered down my latte with sparkling water - and I liked it!
I got Kevinβs attention and raved about my βnew iced concoctionβ.
Two days later, he presented me with what could only be called an iced latte mint julip - delicious!
I was never able to nudge the recipe out of him as he had plans to enter the drink in a State-wide contest, but it definitely lives on in my memory π
And even more so today, thank to your post and the Derby. Thanks!
How fun. An iced latte mint julep! Now that sounds like a recipe we should try to recreate. Maybe not as well as Kevin could, but close. I'm gonna try your latte with sparkling water, sounds delightful.
