It was something my whole family has always done. With an old-fashioned wooden ice cream maker with ice and salt, of course, or a pan in the freezer. It’s a little easier now to whip some ice cream up.

perfect! I followed the family recipe to the tee. If you want those streaks of peach, follow the recipe and use the potato masher to smash the peaches - it keeps the chewy bits. If you're looking for something a little smoother, spin the peach slices up in a blender, then mix with the cream. Either way, it’s delicious. I bet it’s pretty hot in TX now, like it is here in the CA desert, great time for some ice cream!
